Design Systems
I'm a designer; I'm a systems thinker - design systems are an innate part of my approach. I've built design systems for most of my career. In CSS, wikis, PDFs, or more recently on Saas platforms built just for design systems.
I've worked in many sectors, from world-class publishing brands, common core education, pharma, to finance. For the past decade My focus has been financial systems and their complex transactional patterns. The two systems I've included here are from financial companies, one B2C and one B2B.
Enterprise Design System: B2C
This design system was created for a large, regional financial institution. There were several lines of business - each with their own idiosyncrasies and their own product teams. This system had to meet the needs of every group while still being part of the parent brand.
Below are examples from that design system.

Enterprise Design System: B2B
These examples are from an Enterprise Design System that my team and I desgined for a multi-billion dollar B2B company in the finance space. Their platforms were legacy and the codebases allowed for limited modern functionality. We had to ensure that the designs were lean, unobtrusive, and neutral because a number of clients integrated UIs from our system into their own platforms. This was an exercise in designing within constraints without the design being defined by the constraints.
